* Papoea's gedood bij onafhankelijkheidsactie

Bij een grote bijeenkomst voor onafhankelijkheid van Papoea's in Indonesie zijn vijf doden gevallen, aldus de politie vrijdag. Militairen en politieagenten losten schoten, toen de betogers de verboden vlag Bintang Kejora (Morgenster) hesen, een symbool van de strijd voor onafhankelijkheid. Circa 5000 Papoea's deden mee aan het protest in de omgeving van de hoofdstad Jayapura van de provincie Papua op het eiland Nieuw-Guinea. Ook op andere plekken in het gebied was het onrustig. Bij een grote goud- en kopermijn waar wordt gestaakt om hogere lonen, vielen drie doden. De afgelopen tijd eiste geweld bij de mijn al acht levens. De mijn is een van de brandpunten in het conflict in het westelijk deel van Nieuw-Guinea.

Poetry and Football

Picture  - from the museum in Lisboa - of  Fernando Pessoa, famous Portugese poet and football player?  Like Faverey , a Dutch poet, who loved  the game of football and its goals as an esthetic activity. Faverey and August Willems, the interpreter of Pessoa's poems and books, were friends. Maybe they are a triangle Pessoa, Faverey and Willems.
