The Author
Derk Cools was born in 1939 in Den Haag / The Haque, the Netherlands. He got his degree in social geography and economics at the University of Utrecht(1958). As a civil servant with the Ministry of Economic Affairs, he developed expertise in regional (economic) planning at home and abroad. Cecil of het roofdier/ the predator




Roofdier

de klok luiden 
in woorden
de handen vouwen 
tot vreugde

van de middag
van de rotswand
van de steenbok

zing ik zonder woorden

in het klokhuis bengelt
vroom de klepel 
in een droom

omheen de lucht
omheen de stilte
omheen het roofdier

zonder touw 
bid ik de valk
los in de lucht
